The "Wexstraße" LESER Museum was built on the 175th anniversary of LESER by Wolfgang Leser. This was possible because he had researched the origins of LESER in the decades before with care, love and much effort.

With the demolition of the LESER-Hamburg-Building in Wendenstraße in 2014, the "Wexstraße" LESER Museum lost its premises. During the planning of the LESER-Kontor, rooms were kept free on the ground floor in order to build a revised LESER Museum, now named "LESER Museum 1818".

This new museum was opened in spring 2019 in the presence of Wolfgang Leser.
