LESER will support the STEM Racing student team Ascent at the World Championships in Singapore

Team Ascent consists of six 10th grade students from Grootmoor secondary school in Hamburg. On May 17th, the team qualified at the German Championships to represent Germany at the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2025 in Singapore during the Formula 1 race.

STEM Racing is the world's largest competition for students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Teams of students use CAD software to design miniature race cars powered by CO2 cartridges. However, it is not only the race time of the cars that is evaluated; points are also awarded for other elements of the competition, such as the exhibition stand, presentation folders, and a presentation to the jury.

For the German championship, the rules for STEM racing cars were designed so that the cars could be printed on a 3D printer. For the world championship in Singapore, however, the chassis must be milled from a rectangular block of PU rigid foam provided. This requirement and other rule differences made the construction of whole new car necessary.

We are looking forward to World championship in Singapore and we wish the best of luck to our team!
