LESER aims to achieve carbon neutrality in Scope 1 and 2 by 2035 and carbon neutrality in Scope 3 by 2050 across all locations. To achieve this, LESER will gradually replace fossil fuels and continuously improve energy efficiency.


Social issues

LESER continuously improves occupational health and safety within the company. In addition, LESER is convinced that acting in accordance with the LESER Code of Conduct contributes to sustainability by being economically efficient, socially equitable and environmentally sustainable.


About ecological goals

Scope 1 comprises the company’s direct emissions, for example from heating systems or the company vehicle fleet.Scope 2 includes all indirect emissions generated outside the  company but caused, for example, by LESER’s electricity anddistrict heating consumption. Scope 3 covers all indirect emissions associated with upstream and downstream activities in the value chain, such as the transportation of goods.
LESER continuously reduces resource consumption, promotes reusability and, wherever possible, substitutes resources through the use of secondary (recycled) materials or materials that are environmentally and human-friendly.

To assess the effectiveness of the measures implemented, LESER undergoes an external sustainability assessment conducted by EcoVadis. EcoVadis is one of the largest providers of corporate sustainability assessments and has a global network of more than 175,000 rated companies across over 180 countries.
As part of the EcoVadis assessment, LESER is evaluated in four areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
In its most recent assessment, LESER received a Silver Medal for its strong sustainability performance, placing the company among the top 15% of companies assessed within the same industry over the past 12 months.

Membership in the United Nations Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. It provides companies with a framework for advancing sustainable development across industries and national borders, based on ten universal principles and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
