Girls' & Boys' Day 2025 at LESER Kontor, Hamburg

Last Thursday nine teenagers got to know the world of safety valves on “Girls‘ & Boys’ Day” at LESER in Hamburg. The day started with an introduction: Why are safety valves important for industrial plants? What exactly does LESER do and how does the company contribute to the protection of the environment, people and industry? Alexander Schubert, HR expert, answered these questions before Iris Nachtigal took over from experienceLESER. In the museum, the students were amazed to learn that the company's history began as early as 1818.

Where otherwise maintenance technicians, LESER employees and partner companies are trained, the young people were now allowed to get involved. In the chat room, they learned about the functions of the safety valves. It was particularly exciting when they took the valves apart and put them back together again, because everything had to fit in the end.
Among the participants was Denis, the brother of our working student Gabriela. Denis is interested in AI, technology and programming. His questions about Gabriela's work at LESER led to the idea of registering him for Boys' & Girls' Day.
“I really enjoyed the day. I learned a lot about safety valves. I liked the afternoon in the marketing department best. The employees were very nice, and I worked on a time-lapse video and helped prepare a monitor for the trade show. I really enjoyed it,” he beams. ”I'd like to come back.”
