Official groundbreaking ceremony at the Factory of Safety Valves in Hohenwestedt, Schleswig-Holstein

With a clear commitment to the production site in Hohenwestedt, LESER is investing 41.3 million euros in its production plant in Schleswig-Holstein. For the protection of people, the environment and industry, LESER is thus growing into one of the world's largest production sites for safety valves in Hohenwestedt.

On November 22, the time had finally come. The groundbreaking ceremony was officially celebrated with the participation of owner Martin Leser, district administrator Ingo Sander, mayor Jan Butenschön and Olaf Winkelmann from Bartram, the local general contractor.

More than 30 guests attended the ceremony in wintery snowfall and then gathered in the heated tent. Martin Leser described the long negotiations, thanked all those involved in the project for their commitment and thanked district administrator Sander and mayor Butenschön for their support. Kai-Uwe Weiß moderated the event. A big thank you also goes to the project team Holger Timm, Merle König and Jannik Sierks in Hohenwestedt and to marketing.

The new production building will cover 15,000 m² and be designed according to the KfW standard for energy-efficient buildings, certification level 40. In addition to automated transport solutions, an automated bar storage system and a new pickling plant, modern offices, a new canteen with cooking facilities and an outdoor area for employees are also planned.
