 Anniversaries Hohenwestedt

LESER has been family-owned for generations. Just as the management of the company has been passed down from generation to generation, many employees have also developed a close bond over the decades. In many cases, it was their parents who paved the way to LESER and recommended that their children work for the company.
Thomas Kasten and Frank Thurm are two such long-standing employees. Both agree that even after more than 40 years, working at LESER remains exciting and varied.
Thomas Kasten initially came to the company for an internship on the recommendation of his father and then began his training as a machine fitter on September 1, 1985. After successfully completing his training, he first worked in the automatic turning shop, then in goods receiving, and finally, after obtaining additional qualifications, in quality management. In the early 2000s, he moved to final assembly and now works in the on-time service department of the Eco Line value stream.
“I have gotten to know many departments, feel very comfortable among my colleagues, and know that I can rely on LESER as an employer,” he says, summarizing his career development.
Frank Thurm began his training as a turner on September 1, 1980. For the first ten years, he worked in production, initially with seat bushings and center lathes, and later also with CNC technology. He then moved to work preparation, which is now known as industrial engineering. There, he is responsible for machine and tool procurement and NC programs, among other things.

Looking back, he says: “I have been given many opportunities at LESER, have been able to take on new challenges and work independently in my area of responsibility.”
