Sustainability at LESER

The "Sustainability at LESER" project launched in 2021 created a foundation and awareness for the topic of sustainability at LESER. A follow-up project "Sustainability at LESER 2.0" is already being planned. LESER looks back on its successes to date.

Last year, the project team led by Ineke Harms, LESER's specialist for sustainability and certification, received, among other things, certification in occupational health and safety according to ISO 45001 for the German sites. Furthermore, the LESER Code of Conduct for all employees was developed as a central basis. Training has been provided for the staff. The LESER Code of Conduct for Suppliers was derived from the LESER Code of Conduct and the sustainability requirements for suppliers were defined

In June 2022, LESER conducted a sustainability assessment of the company by the external provider EcoVadis, in which LESER's sustainability performance was awarded a bronze medal. The assessment evaluated the entire company in the four areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

LESER logo for "Sustainability at LESER"
In order to increase awareness and visibility of sustainability activities within the company as well as externally, LESER has developed a logo for "Sustainability at LESER". The three pillars of sustainability - economy, ecology and social issues - play a central role in the logo. The valve body stands for the economy, the globe for ecology and the hands represent the social pillar.

The integration of the theme on the LESER website will follow shortly. On the LESER LinkedIn page you can already find the first posts on "Sustainability at LESER".

We look forward to the next steps of sustainable development and continue on this path with a heightened awareness of all three pillars of sustainability.
