Casting storage
Due to the relatively long replacement times of castings, LESER considers an adequate storage of raw materials to be necessary. So that we can offer our customers the shortest possible delivery time.
- 1,000 m² raw casting storage area
- Raw material worth € 4.3 million in stock
- € 2.9 million of which are unmachined castings
- Distributed over 2,800 different parts
This resulted in short delivery times and the possibility to take new parts out of stock if additional demand arises in the later manufacturing process.
This is not the case with many competitors. Often only the required number of castings is ordered and for cost reasons no stock is kept or the castings are even purchased machined.
Bar material stock
From the bar material stock, series production supplies the ready machined parts stock for the Assemble to order (ATO) process. Inventory is also kept in order to be able to react with the shortest possible delivery times to components still to be manufactured in the Manufacture to order (MTO) or Design to order (DTO) process. The bar material is already provided with a LESER identification from the supplier, which is passed on to the finished safety valve. This means that all quality information on the material is available to our customers.
Ready machined parts stock
Which parts are in stock depends on consumption and is also based on decisions as to which valves are to be made available with a short delivery time. Through route-optimized commissioning in the central stock, throughput times are further reduced.
The global supply of internal parts to the LESER production facilities in India and China takes place from this stock. Spare and conversion parts are supplied to the LESER subsidiaries, sales partners and our customers.
