LESER Germany: Start of construction at the Factory of Safety Valves, Hohenwestedt
Construction of the new production hall at LESER in Hohenwestedt has begun. LESER is investing 41.3 million euros in a 15,000 m² production hall to increase production capacity, which is currently 150,000 safety valves per year.Above-ground construction started in October 2024. Completion of the building is slated for early 2026. The new hall will house state-of-the-art production areas, a cafeteria, and an office section. Sustainability is high on the agenda: Photovoltaic arrays will be installed on the roof, and the building will be heated by air-source heat pumps. The building is designed for certification to the KfW 40 low energy consumption code.Rearranging the machines and equipment will ensure a more efficient material flow and shorter lead times. LESER also plans to use mobile robots and automation to reduce error-proneness and redeploy skilled employees to areas where they are needed more urgently.The building expansion project will raise the modernization standard of the Factory of Safety Valves and strengthen the LESER Hohenwestedt facility’s position as Europe’s biggest safety valve manufacturing site.
LESER India: Foundation stone laid for factory expansion worth 5.5 million euros
As India’s largest safety valve factory, the modernized facility in Paithan, Aurangabad will accommodate segmentation, automation, and manufacturing processes.
The machinery hall and the assembly area will be separate, clearly distinguishing between routine and project-related business activities. This will allow LESER India to increase transparency and rationalize work processes. Benefits will include improved resource allocation, more precise planning, and shorter response times when implementing changes. Downtime will be reduced, and performance tracking, overall efficiency, and cost management will be improved. All these optimization measures reflect the LESER Global Standards.
The foundation laying ceremony in July 2024 took place in the presence of LESER Managing Director Joachim Klaus and Neeraj Mangal, CEO of LESER India, as well as members of the LESER team. Joachim Klaus emphasized LESER’s long-term commitment to the Indian market, while Neeraj Mangal underscored the potential for increased production capacity and the company’s contribution to the local economy. The foundation laying ceremony was accompanied by Indian rites. The investment will strengthen LESER’s position in the Indian safety valve market.
LESER USA: Construction at Charlotte, North Carolina initiated
In September, LESER USA celebrated the groundbreaking for the construction of the new 52,000 m² facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. About half of the floor space will be used for production. 14,000 m² are earmarked for offices, and another 14,000 m² for future office expansion on the second floor. Construction work began in late summer 2024, and LESER plans to move in in August 2025. This marks a new chapter in the expansion of LESER’s footprint in the United States. It attests to the success of our subsidiary, which is a result of the tireless efforts and vision of the US team and LESER’s partners.
Representing a milestone in the history of LESER USA, the foundation laying ceremony was celebrated in the presence of company owner Martin Leser, Steve Usina, President of LESER North America, as well as LESER partners such as Mike Murray from Wagner Murray, Paul Devine from Childress Klein, and Marcus Rabun from Myers & Chapman.
